Adding to this, Ryan just flew his first 5 hour flight on Monday, in the DG500 - one step closer to his Silver C.
Congratulations, Ryan!

Re: FLIGHT SHEETS
Probably a good idea. They're cheaper, too.
Unless Dave has any objections.

Re: Circuits
I'll add that I've received three reports expressing concern about low circuits through our reporting system for the 5th to the 7th of this month. Several members are concerned, not just the previous poster.
(And thanks all for those observations — keep 'em coming!)

Re: FLIGHT SHEETS
I disagree with expecting line chiefs and/or flight recorders to recall every individual guest and student's financial arrangement with the club. Many line chiefs are already overwhelmed and this doesn't help. Their concern should be limited simply to whether or not payment has been made, not the ex...

Re: THANKS ..... WEEKEND AIRPORT DAY(s) for the PUBLIC 21st/22nd June
I would also like to thank Hugh for handling intro payments and waivers both days (not a particularly "fun" task), and our tow pilots - it was not a fun day to be stuck in a small aircraft behind a 235 horsepower engine with that worlkload all day. Also generally the Township of Wellington...

Re: Golf carts
Doug wins 🥳🎉 I drove a golf cart out of the hangar this morning, skipping the DI, to realize a hundred feet later that a tire was flat. It was inflated when I parked it last night, but flat this morning. Barry can speak to the damage I caused by driving on a flat tire to save myself sixty seconds. (...

Re: Golf carts
Okay, fair enough, but a few things to consider then: What will be inspected? We'll need some kind of "official" checklist. Doug's suggestions in the first post in this thread I think are good. What is the training criteria for golf cart DIs? Who is qualified to check people out for it? Ho...

Re: Golf carts
Aside from a quick walkaround to ensure the tires aren't flat, I don't see the benefit of mandating any kind of golf cart DI, and I'm not concerned about them from a safety perspective. I'm happy to hear opposing opinions though.

Re: Got mice?
While I agree that it's generally a bad idea to keep attractants inside, I will not keep them outside. Keeping poison outside will poison mice that have no interest in my trailer, so is less effective if only because it will be eaten quicker. Beyond that, inside or outside, it's still an attractant;...

Got mice?
Hi everyone, With everyone winterizing their trailers this time of year, I thought I'd share some of the methods I use to keep the mice at bay. I had mice (or at least incontrovertible evidence of them) in my trailer when I was up today for two big reasons - a) I haven't used my trailer much this ye...
