I just checked the forecast for next week. It's not good. It got colder.
The water will be shut down tomorrow (Saturday the 23rd of November). The day after, at the latest.

Re: Water shutoff
A quick update - I had originally planned to shut the water to the clubhouse off this weekend. But I checked the forecast on Saturday morning and it sure looks like we can leave it on for another week – there's no subzero lows for the next seven days. The long range forecast is less promising. It lo...

Re: Got mice?
While I agree that it's generally a bad idea to keep attractants inside, I will not keep them outside. Keeping poison outside will poison mice that have no interest in my trailer, so is less effective if only because it will be eaten quicker. Beyond that, inside or outside, it's still an attractant;...

Got mice?
Hi everyone, With everyone winterizing their trailers this time of year, I thought I'd share some of the methods I use to keep the mice at bay. I had mice (or at least incontrovertible evidence of them) in my trailer when I was up today for two big reasons - a) I haven't used my trailer much this ye...

Re: Water shutoff
Looks like we're good for at least the next two weeks; there's nothing subzero at least until then. The bathrooms in the clubhouse should remain functional for that long at this point.
Unless the weather forecast changes of course, in which case all bets are off.

Water shutoff
Everyone, The water to the campground and campground bathrooms will be shut off tomorrow, the 22nd. I was hoping to provide more notice but family commitments made me unable to commit to a specific date. The showers will be turned off but the clubhouse (admin: deleted) will not be. The water to the ...

Re: Congratulations Ken, Barry and all YSA members
By my account, it was a smashing success. Only one angry outburst on my part (sorry about that Dave), and only one thing got wrecked (one of our popup tents that wasn't staked down and blew away in the wind). And just a mild case of tendonitis for me. 95% of our guests left happy and said they will ...

Re: Antique Fly-in And Open House
We're still full steam ahead for Saturday at this juncture. The weather certainly looks iffy, but then again, it's partly sunny, partly cloudy, chance of rain, risk of thunderstorms... Just like every day all summer. The Museum's aircraft will be coming Saturday, if not at 10am due to low ceilings, ...

Re: Antique Fly-in And Open House
30/12 will be closed and its south end used for parking. What is normally the members' parking lot will be set aside for oversized or handicap parking. It will really help get parking sorted out if members use the general parking lot (30/12), and not the spot we normally use. It will demonstrate to ...

Re: Antique Fly-in And Open House
I've taken a few suggestions and made some changes, notably the RRP and GAWK roster, the addition of Mike Collier on tow, and added a wing runner role.
Ryan, are you okay to run wings from 10 to 2?
