Re: Open glider network transmitters

I can look into doing this when I’m back next year. And I could school somebody in how to set them up properly at the beginning of each season if need be. It’s not terribly difficult Toronto Soaring and SOSA have installed receiver equipment and they are in use. All of their aircraft have installed ...

Re: Rigging. Lark IS-28

Rigging the Lark is pretty much idiot proof. But there are idiots. It is the most robust connection system I’ve ever seen on a glider. Someone just didn’t look or know what they were looking at. However, that being said once the cowling is on there is no more opportunity to properly observe anything...

Re: BAD PILOTS

I disagree. Too much attention is paid to which aircraft are left in which order. Rough guess most days the front third is pulled out regardless. There is no magic to the packing. It is care that counts and a small amount of observation when packing. We should all have that skill or be able to devel...

Re: BAD PILOTS

The last pilot in any plane should be responsible for making sure their plane is in the hangar before they leave, just as if it was their own plane. Planes do not have to wait until the end of the day in many cases. So before you leave check to see if there is another pilot for that plane. If not, a...

Re: Glider/Tug communication

Same issue but different. First flight in the Lark I was at 55. Made the plane wallow around in the air. Next flight I brought a radio with me. Radios good....
