Chunks of chewed safety straps were in the mix, along with copious amounts of mouse droppings ( no doubt full of nasty viruses) A few years ago at Pincher Creek, AB, I once found a frozen mouse sitting in the cockpit on the pilot's sea...

Re: 2024 Cowley Summer Camp July 27th to Aug 5th
Cowley is Canada's premier wave soaring site. Numerous diamond height gain flights are made each year, as well as record- breaking flights for speed, distance and altitude. As well as wave, there is also decent thermal soaring at Cowley and the nearby Porcipine Hills. Cowley is operated by the Alber...

Congratulations Ken, Barry and all YSA members
By any measure, today's fly in was a great success, in spite of adverse weather. Re: Self-Launching Gliders are the way of the future
Another huge benefit of powered gliders is that land-outs are virtually eliminated. For clubs like YSA, that have an extreme aversion to landouts, this is a biggy. I would expect that a powered glider in the club would be going cross country on every flyable day. It would open cross country flying t...

Self-Launching Gliders are the way of the future
The Saskatchewan gliding club at Regina experienced low membership a number of years ago. Only when every member showed up at the field did they have enough bodies to operate. I flew with them for a few days on my return trip from Invermere one summer. This highly unusual group were very welcoming. ...
