Re: Antique Fly-in And Open House

Oh, you made the list. Just now. The online spreadsheet is read-only because if it isn't, I have no control at all; too many cooks in the kitchen.

You're right - I do need a wing runner position - and thank you for pointing that out. Can I slot you in for that?

It the Air Boss's responsibility to keep traffic separated (by sending glider intros one way and power intros th...

Antique Fly-in And Open House

Hello, as you are all aware, on the 22nd of June (11 days from the date of this posting), in partnership with the Great War Flying Museum, we are hosting our 2024 Antique Aircraft Fly-in and Open House . It promises to be a fun day to which the neighbouring community, as well as visiting pilots, wil...

Re: Introduction

Hi Garrett, You may have seen me plowing my Outback out of our driveway for a few hours I think in late February of this year, perhaps early March. I tried to make it down our driveway but failed, and then had to spend a few hours plowing a path to my car to pull it out. You have horses, right? I as...

Re: Electric Golf Carts

Thank you Barry, I got your report (and your previous one re: LTX). This was the third report I have received about electrical safety hazards in the main hangar this year (and thank you to everyone who submitted those hazard reports). And we're not even into June yet. The other two: A hazard report ...

Re: 2024 Fly-In And Open House, June 22nd-23rd (The Longest Day)

I'm not sure how to put French text in there, I'll ask the vendor. It's odd that the cart reset to zero, but not a big deal I think. There's only one thing for sale so it's not a big hassle to add it to the cart again, and I assume most Francophones would change languages before continuing with the ...

Re: 2024 Fly-In And Open House, June 22nd-23rd (The Longest Day)

Hi everyone, In addition to cash, we will also be selling entry tickets ahead of time on our website. But before we sign the paperwork with the company that will handle online sales (FrontDoor+), I'd like to give the product a test run, using the club dinner. I've created an "event page" s...

Re: 2024 Fly-In And Open House, June 22nd-23rd (The Longest Day)

Thank you everyone who has volunteered so far. We're shaping up to be far, far more prepared for this year's fly-in than last year's. There's a few things I need the club to either borrow or rent. If any members have any of this, it will save quite a bit of headache and expense. Pop up tents. We hav...

Re: 2024 Fly-In And Open House, June 22nd-23rd (The Longest Day)

I am keeping up with this thread, but Dave's right. Sarah is maintaining a Google doc listing everyone who volunteers. Plus, emailing ysa.officemanager@gmail.com provides a lasting record of it. Also, I forgot to mention, I'll need quite a few volunteers after the event to pick litter from the groun...
