Please put the battery charger cords through the steering wheel when charging. This clearly points out to the drive to unplug the cord. A battery charger and where the cord plugs in were severely damaged when driven out of the hanger. THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF THE CHARGER CORD WAS THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL.

Re: Electric Golf Carts
Thank you Barry, I got your report (and your previous one re: LTX).
This was the third report I have received about electrical safety hazards in the main hangar this year (and thank you to everyone who submitted those hazard reports). And we're not even into June yet. The other two:
I am taking steps to address the issue: purchasing more robust extension cords (and discarding old and frayed ones), and looking into better protections on the outlets and circuit they're all attached to. But as Barry points out, that's all rather moot if we leave the gas station with the nozzle still in the tank,
P.S. Do we have a licensed electrician in the club?
This was the third report I have received about electrical safety hazards in the main hangar this year (and thank you to everyone who submitted those hazard reports). And we're not even into June yet. The other two:
- A hazard report about extension cords being daisy chained — with the connections between them laying on the floor in pools of water (images attached - the second picture is of the consequences, and the third picture is how it should be done).
- A more general report regarding the mess of cords and the potential hazard created by driving over them and subsequently fraying the cords. This is compounded by the fact that many of the cords we're using are rated for 15 amps, but that the circuit they're plugged in to is protected by a 20 amp breaker (so, in layman's terms, the cord will melt before the fuse blows).
