Golf Cart Safety

Post by Barry Briere »

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCE anyone is to stand on the back of the golf carts while in motion.

Standing on the back of a golf cart is not safe. It's strongly recommended to remain seated with all body parts inside the cart while it's in motion. Standing on the back platform or hanging off the sides or rear increases the risk of falls, especially during turns or sudden movements.

Here's why it's unsafe:
Risk of Falls:
Standing on the back platform puts you at risk of falling off, especially during turns or if the cart encounters uneven terrain or bumps.

Increased Injury Risk:
Falls from a golf cart can result in serious injuries, including broken bones, head trauma, and soft tissue damage.

Distraction and Instability:
Standing on the back can make it harder for the driver to maintain balance and control of the cart, potentially leading to accidents.

Not Designed for Passengers:
Golf cart platforms are typically intended for carrying cargo, not passengers.

Potential for Sudden Movements:
Even a slight turn or bump can cause someone standing on the back to lose their balance and fall.
