Introduction

Post by Garrett Vanheeswyk »

Evening,
I am Garrett vanheeswyk I am your neighbour directly across from your lane, I have been "creeping" your forum for awhile and dave has allowed me a login name to particpate if when I have inputs. I am very interested for your up coming fly in and if you need any assistance with set or anything please feel free to ask ! I have met a select few who have been lucky enough to be stuck in the winter or in one case summer (lawn tractor in the ditch) and I have pulled you out. Love seeing the club activity ( I also belong to fergus snowmobile club) keep up the good work !

Hi Garett, welcome to the Forum.
We much appreciate the rescue services that you and Robin provide!

We do hope you and your family walk across to us on June 22nd to see the visiting WW1 aircraft. Also, you are welcome to join us in the campground on June 30th, 1800, for free hamburgers/sausages and to watch some visiting aircraft land.

If we think of anything you could do for us on the 22nd, we will not be slow to ask, for the moment nothing comes to mind. Thanks for the offer.

Hi Garrett,

You may have seen me plowing my Outback out of our driveway for a few hours I think in late February of this year, perhaps early March. I tried to make it down our driveway but failed, and then had to spend a few hours plowing a path to my car to pull it out.

You have horses, right? I assume if you gave horses, you have hay.

I'm working on planning our flyin and I'd love to have a few square bails of hay for people to sit on, scattered around the grounds. Please let me know if that's something you can lend us.

By the way, is that a Dutch name (Dutchman myself here)?

I do have hay and let me how many bales/ benches you are thinking about and am sure I can help you out

My dad parents (my grandparents came from holland) so yeah you could say that!

Garrett,
You rescued me in my black Toyota Venza with my dog Jennie from our driveway.
Thank you so much.
Jennie gave you a woof-woof.
I hope to see you at the show this weekend.
Cheers, Ken
