FLIGHT SHEETS
Posted: Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:12 am
The 2023 metal case fell apart.
The 2024 metal case, prepared by Barry and Kris is fit for purpose (complete with a watch)
The instructions on how to fill in the flight sheet (previously contained in the old metal box) will be renewed and placed inside the meatal box lid.
Meanwhile, some simple key points those doing the flight sheets:
1. ANYTHING unusual: just make good use of the comments field (e.g. front paying for tow, rear paying for flight time).
2. PILOT NAMES: Intro pilots name is INTRO (put real name in comments) friends pilot name is: FRIEND (put real name in comments) for member names use their FAS name and if you don't know it just use a name that is understandable (e.g. if you do not know my fas name DAVEB, dave bax would be clear, as would Bax).
3. Take-off/Landing times: please use a 24 hour clock (e.g. 1310 not 1.10) if you make a mistake simply cross out the mistake and use the comments field! Glider landed out? Use the comment field!
4. Charge flight: usually F or R. Use comments to indicate test flight or shared flight or other weirdness.
5. Students on packages (currently ANTON, CALVIN, DANT (DANIEL), DAVET (DAVID) use a P for the charge code (if unsure, just use F and make use of the comments). The 3 Hong Kong Students arriving towards the end of July will all be P (prepaid). The current HK students are not P.
6. Intros: mark as a P (prepaid) if they have a certificate number (put this number in the comments please) otherwise use F if cash or eTransfer paid.
7. TOW Plane do you best to be accurate LTX (L), EBI (E), EKV (EK) so our maintenance/journey logs are accurate
8. TOW Pilot name: do your best but not essential info (unless involved in an incident).
MEMBERS: After you have flown PLEASE check the flight log for correct info (1,2,3 for tow height, sensible take-off/landing times, correct pilot names) especially if you are one of the last flights (often no entry or incomplete entries for the last flight of the day).
Intro handling, I will prepare another briefing note for intro handling, it will also be in/on the metal box.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation
