Every year I try to see this natural event. Every year the weather blanks it out. This has been going on all my life. FINALLY we have a promise of a clear sky tonightat YSA that coincides with the peak of the shower. The next few nights look favourable too. So, if a hangar full of unused gliders and three days of good soaring weather don't tempt you to come on out, consider the opportunity to see the Perseid meteor shower. If we still had a deck, you could lie on your back on the deck and watch the celestial fireworks. An inflatable camping matress will have to do.
