Tow Pilots - Aug Report

Thank you for the August Report Dave.

I mentioned to friends that have a ppl that York could use Tow Pilots.
First thing they ask are questions I don't know the answer to, if someone could help?

Where to get tail dragger conversion?
Do York Instructors help with that, or is there a recommended school?
The two that have inquired are GPL and PPL, experience being towed, have PPL at least only 1 decade out of currency, not 2 like me.

At this time we are not looking for tow pilots. I have 3 candidates that are on a waiting list and even saying that, none would be trained this year due to our current tow plane status (and we want to finish up a tow pilot in training). There is no guarantee that any one of these 3 will tow, but I would need to look at them first if we needed another tow pilot. I would recommend your friends contact me to be put on a list.

Answers to your posted questions and more+
-York does not train pilots for tailwheel. They would have to be signed off tailwheel solo + some experience (10+ hours)
-Currently I only know of 2 places to get tailwheel, Brampton Flying Club and Upright Aviation. Both are not taking any students the last I heard.
-We are not looking for pilots looking to build time for a commercial license
-Preference would be given to pilots who also have or will obtain a glider instructor rating. We are looking for long term members.
