Things you can find on a D.I.

This is part of the elevator linkage on the 1-34 (behind the seat).
There were five bodies in there, so I guess they were all deathly afraid of flying...

Wow. I took a lot of mouse mess out last time I flew it, I didn't realize there was more still to go. Thanks for going the extra step!

The trail of blue foam bits in the bilge stretched from the base of the stick back to below the spar (both points have a solid bulkhead which probably stopped further excursion).

Late in October 2024 mouse nesting material was found in Mr BIG. Chunks of chewed safety straps were in the mix, along with copious amounts of mouse droppings ( no doubt full of nasty viruses)
A few years ago at Pincher Creek, AB, I once found a frozen mouse sitting in the cockpit on the pilot's seat of my DG400. RIP.
I think that many undetected mice have experienced the joy of soaring flight in the past.
