Water shutoff

Post by Kenneth Voort »

Everyone,

The water to the campground and campground bathrooms will be shut off tomorrow, the 22nd. I was hoping to provide more notice but family commitments made me unable to commit to a specific date. The showers will be turned off but the clubhouse (admin: deleted) will not be.

The water to the clubhouse will be left on, hopefully until we pack the hangars, but it's up to the Big Guy In The Sky, not me. We won't be without a place to (admin: deleted) for a couple of weeks, hopefully.

If anyone is around who wishes to learn a bit about our water system, I'm happy to take the time and teach.

Looks like we're good for at least the next two weeks; there's nothing subzero at least until then. The bathrooms in the clubhouse should remain functional for that long at this point.

Unless the weather forecast changes of course, in which case all bets are off.

A quick update - I had originally planned to shut the water to the clubhouse off this weekend. But I checked the forecast on Saturday morning and it sure looks like we can leave it on for another week – there's no subzero lows for the next seven days.

The long range forecast is less promising. It looks like after next week we can expect the temperatures to drop significantly, by five degrees or so.

(That, and I would have missed my nephew's 6th birthday party.)

I just checked the forecast for next week. It's not good. It got colder.

The water will be shut down tomorrow (Saturday the 23rd of November). The day after, at the latest.
