Season well under way now and we have had a good turn around of events:
Tow planes: 2 fully operational, the third imminent.
Gliders: The 2-33's are being put to good use this month, aerobatic instructor training recomemced, IKI is back.
Members: A sharp increase in numbers in the last 10 days, with now 46 flying members (not counting life members or social members), and still expecting the late rejoining of three members not yet signed up.
The Public Day (actually 2 days): allowed 46 intro flights, and a small number of returning intros since. Good public response in person and online.
The power flyin day: end of June saw 13 power planes fly in and the occupants were impressed with our setup.
Great Lakes: their members making use of our facilities since mid June, probably until mid August, are friendly and not intrusive to our operations on the main runway. We have to take care, both Lakes and ourselves, when operating from 23/05 with restricted space for multiple aircraft.
Student training: In addition to the Hong Kong student, we have 3 other 2-33 students training all week during July and early August. Additionally a k21 student and 2-33 student for weekends. More volunteers needed, especially tow pilots, for the weekeday operation.
Line chiefs: Formally restarted again from the start of July at weekends. Please respect the decisions of the line-chiefs.
Enjoy happy and safe gliding for the rest of the season.
