I sent in my instructor renewal and asked for advice from them.
I got a phone call from Doug Carman (yes, really), and had a nice chat. What he said is that a lot of them are working from home, and their preferred method is email. The instructions and address are right there on the website. In addition we all agree, PAY the fee FIRST. You will get a receipt number that you can put on your email to them. You need to enclose the application form properly filled out, and the letter from the CFI (Wayne, and possibly Gabor), and the receipt #, or a copy thereof.
He also said send it in at least 90 days before expiry. Remember that your booklet has to be updated every 10 years and may catch you unaware. Instructors are looking at this on spring checkouts, but you will be in a pickle if your booklet expires in less than 90 days. Check it in January!!
If they receive anything for which the fee is not paid, it will go on the bottom of the pile.
