The content of this course is based upon the Study and Reference guide issued by Transport Canada (TP876E), and abridged version which is available for download. The aim of this course is to help the student navigate through these requirements in preparation both for the Transport Canada examination and for what will be expected of the student when learning to fly gliders. A word of caution, successful completion of the Transport Canada sample glider pilot examination will not be sufficient to pass the current written test. While it is useful as a guide to study, it does not represent the full range of material that students might be queried on. It is however a good eye-opener to attempt or at least read over before moving on to other material in this course to get a sense of the work that lies ahead.
