Flight Profile

The advanced flights represent application of flying skills such as control and monitoring to more difficult situations, and of course to total flight planning. The student must progress from simply applying previously learned skills to these more difficult situations, to taking responsibility for all planning and decision making during the flight.  In the advanced phase the student must demonstrate and take responsibility for:

  1. All pre-flight procedures learned during the basic and intermediate stages.
  2. The weather conditions as they relate to flying the circuit and maintaining the proper position to safely return to the airport.
  3. Performing the right kind of activities during the red, yellow, and green situations.
  4. All decision making during the flight.
